Raising Ojipockle App Reviews

charming and addictive

2/19/2016 update: great app and now in English as promised! Thanks so much. Original review: App doesnt support English yet as description advertises, but the game is a lot of fun and if you enjoyed the developers other game, Finding Ojipockle, this is a much richer experience worth your time. A virtual pet in the form of a little fairy that lives in a cardboard box on a table - starts as a baby and grows to be a salaryman type dude - and you upgrade and decorate his room by playing mini-games and searching the virtual apartment that the table is in for play currency. Weird, bright, cute. Its a shame so many reviewers are holding their review hostage to an English translation, because Im happy the developers have released this in the US App Store *at all*. Most quirky Japanese games with depth deeper than Neko Atsume (ねこあつめ) tend never to see the light of day here. The fact that the developers have translated their other app (Finding Ojipockle) into English bodes well for this one, but as its a much more complex game, hopefully they think its worth their time to translate this one too. A crude and time consuming workaround for now is to take screenshots and use Google Translates app when it feels needed. A hassle, I know, but its totally possible to play this without knowing Japanese. Id recommend playing Finding Ojipockle first just to get a feel for the world and play style (camera, movement control). If you dig that, youll dig this even more. Fingers crossed for an English translation as the game is a lot of fun and deserving of a larger audience!

English finally can understand ^0^

This game is adorable!! You get to raise a Ojipockle, feed it foods that are 4x the size of it, play games to earn money (play tag and hide and seek , hide and seek has two modes times and no timed but timed gives you a bonus, tag has you running around avoiding the taggers ^-^ ) you get a shop to buy various items like walls floors and furniture, level up by feeding your Ojipockle food you can get from your farm (yep you grow foods lol steak fries etc) then you can buy more things everything makes more sense on English no guessing each area Im happy it got localized thank you!!!! Worth grabbing !

LOVE THIS!!!!

Theres finally English! ❤️ Either way this game is super cute and amazing!

I really like this game

its fun game it crashing though

it crashing sometime no big deal though

What Happened?

Update ads MANY more ads. Bummer. Also, the fire place has gone dark. What happened? Not as fun with so many ads. Game went from 5 stars to 2.

Help with possible glitch

I completely raises the first ojipockle and the elder game to tell me he would be going away and Ill be getting a baby to raise. I selected the new ojipockle but now the first one is still in the box with the baby? I cant feed or do anything with him it seems like a glitch. What to do?

Crashes :(

I would love to give 5 stars since its such a cute game but I cant play the game as intended on iPad mini first generation latest iOS because it crashes when I try to play with the baby, or find coins in the apartment. All I can do really is basic care, and that becomes boring after awhile.

I was playing it for 1 minute

I was playing it for 1 minute and Ive already found a problem. The controls seem to be worse than their other game, and they spelled things wrong. (in English) I dont know if theyre trying to English-ize it, but I found that mistake. Game is cute overall, and the graphics are excellent!

This game is so cute

And amazing!!!! This take tamagochi in a whole new level. I never though in my life I would taking care of a virtual tiny old man.

Not perfect, but manageable and fun

Game is still glitchy in that it crashes a fair bit & sometimes an old ojipockle will appear while taking care of a newer one. For me, this is remedied by switching back to the older one for a bit. These issues havent stopped my obsessive playing, so they arent too intrusive to the game. Very cute, looks nice, controls are kinda funky, but once you get them theyre pretty simple... Overall, I love this cute, little, middle-aged man-raising, home-building sim. I wish they would localize the DS game to other countries!

Love the Concept but do not understand "play"

This app is such a cute concept. My concern/issue is that outside of some beginner narrative guidance we are left without game play information-at least information written in English. I have one Ojipockle.... I feed him. I "rub" (???) him and hearts spring forth from him, but thats about it. I tried to play the game to find coins and I could only tap on one coin. The only other coin I saw wouldnt pick up. So I dont really know how to earn coins to buy things... Any help?

Entertaining

Such a cute and fun app. Would rate higher if faqs and help would be in English. There is a lot to do without knowing details but could be better knowing more. You can interact with the ojipockles and watch them play. Once you raise one and get another you will occasionally see the two play together... However I am not sure if that is random or based on something I did. More fun than you would think.
